Inspired to the iconic movie “Raise the Red Lantern”, this panel is in solid wood, painted with a base of Chinese Red chalk paint, a Graphite wash, gold leaf, and old gold paint to create the illusion of a Chinese parchment . The piece was sealed with clear wax for protection and black wax for depth.
